1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using The Scent Bureau website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, please do not use this service.

2. Nature of the Service

The Scent Bureau is an independent fragrance database, decision engine, and verified directory of alternative luxury perfume clones. Scent Bureau does not manufacture, bottle, ship, or sell perfumes directly. All transactions and checkouts take place on external verified seller sites. Scent Bureau is not a party to any transactions or disputes between you and external sellers.

3. User Conduct & Reviews

When participating in our community (leaving ratings, wear-test logs, or seller feedback), you agree:

  • To provide honest, accurate reviews based on your actual experience.
  • To refrain from submitting spam, promotional materials, or duplicate listings.
  • To respect other community members; harassment, hate speech, or abuse will result in account ban.

Before posting a review, you agree to these review rules:

  1. Write about your own experience with this bottle, not someone else's.
  2. Be accurate. Say what you noticed, and don't state as fact what you can't know.
  3. No abuse, and nothing defamatory. Criticise the product or the service, not people.
  4. Don't accept anything in return for a review, and don't review a shop you work for or are connected to.
  5. A review that breaks these rules can be marked not counted or removed. You'll be told why, and you can appeal.

4. Intellectual Property

All original content, designs, database schemas, logo marks, and algorithms on The Scent Bureau are the intellectual property of Scent Bureau. Reference perfume brands and original names (e.g. Creed, Sauvage, Chanel) are the trademarks of their respective houses, used here strictly for historical reference and olfactory classification purposes (fair use).

5. Accuracy of Information & Disclaimer

Olfactory perception is highly subjective and depends on individual skin chemistry. While Scent Bureau compiles editor reports and community votes to determine match score percentages, we do not guarantee that your perception of a fragrance clone will match the original benchmark.

All listing details, prices, and stock indicators are provided as-is based on automated merchant catalog syncs. Scent Bureau does not guarantee absolute pricing accuracy or listing availability.

6. Limitation of Liability

Scent Bureau and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your purchases from third-party sellers listed in our directory. Any quality, fulfillment, or refund requests must be handled directly with the merchant.

7. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
